Add support for eduroam networks (https://eduroam.org/) used by academic institutions and some k-12.

Thanks for the update, I think this would be a great addition since eduroam services a very large number of students and researchers who use IoT devices.

https://monitor.eduroam.org/map_service_loc.php

almost 3000 locations in the US alone.

Edit: wanted to emphasize that the students I work with who can't use whippersnapper are either programming their own thing or using Adafruit's competitors (Seeed for example)

@hobob0t Are you an educator? Do you have access to an Eduroam network for testing (we can gladly send hardware your way for testing)?

docmollo commented 1 year ago

I work at a university and can easily test this, as well, if help is needed.

brentru commented 1 year ago

@docmollo Thank you, that would be highly useful! This is not on my immediate roadmap (UART and GPS are) but it's something I can implement when taking a break from larger features.

docmollo commented 1 year ago

You're welcome! Yeah, no worries on timing or where this in the priority...happy to help whenever something is ready to test 🤘
