When transferring multiple files/folders to the phone, the directory list is constantly refreshing after each file, which severely slows down the total transfer speed #151

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Transfer multiple files/folders to a subdirectory on the phone
2. Notice the directory list constantly refreshing
3. Transfers are paused until the refresh is complete.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Refresh should occur after the transfer is complete.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest. XP.

Please provide any additional information below.
Fixed. See diff below. Also includes fix for issue "Dragging and dropping
files will block the application you are dragging from until the transfer
completes"

I've been having this problem with v1.93. Does anyone know how to apply that
fix
above, as 45mins is a bit excessive for 70MB worth of files (this is on Win7,
Core i7
with 6GB RAM, so pretty sure the computer isn't the issue).

I put my build with this fix, along with some other fixes and significant
performance improvements, at
http://adamwalling.com/iPhoneBrowser/iPhoneBrowser.exe

Just replace the exe in your install path with this one.

Let me know if you have any trouble with it. Hopefully the project manager will
eventually find time to
merge in my patches to the official builds.

Just wanted to let you know that these fixes were awesome. The difference in
time spent transferring files was amazing. Took me a couple hours last time to
transfer everything over, and with this fix it took maybe 10mins. Thanks a
bunch!
