Localization: non us-ascii translations is not working #5

add-on fails to work with localization that contains non us-ascii characters. 
for example Russian.

Supplied archive contains patch for the problem and Russian translation for 
this add-on
Tested with 0.4.7 and XBMC 11. 
read README.TXT before install
