Currently each lecture is added once per week in the feed. Ical supports using RRULE which let us specify the recurrence rate of an ical event.

Using a "plain" rrule with byweekno to try and achieve week 2-12 14-15 does not work in Google Calendar or Evolution.
Creating a RDATE instead of and RRULE seems to work better in gcal, but not evolution.
Using multiple rrules results in only the first being included for both cases.
Using an all inclusive rrule + exdate to get rid of extra entries only worked in gcal.

Creating on rrule and vevent for each continuous run might work.

Haven't looked at this for many many years. But expanding the RRULEs server side is likely the only safe thing to do.
