My second JUDCO 1024-2 push button switch. I tinned the lead tips to tell it apart.

See non-tinned JUDCO switch: https://github.com/adamfk/bouncy-button-data/issues/6

Please note:

Switch Info

Property Description
Type push button
Circuit SPST
Function Off-Mom (Normally Open)
Model info/markings JUDCO 1024-2
Voltage & Current rating 14 V 2A ?

Product URL: Original discontinued by manufacturer. This looks like replacement. Digikey replacement forum topic.

How new is the switch? First time used in 8+ years. I think I originally got this from digikey a long time ago.

How do you like the switch? TERRIBLE FEEL! I'm not a button expert, but this has to be the least enjoyable button I've ever used. I can only hope that it isn't meant to be directly pressed. It probably is supposed to have some other mechanism in front of it. It barely moves (<1 mm?), makes no sound and I think I'll stop there before I get mad at a button... 😡

Test Section Details

The "pop-norm" section is where I used a popsicle stick to press the button. It felt like the button was sticking to my finger sometimes and that was affecting some of the releases. image

🕵️ Your Observations (optional)

The median performance was pretty good, but it had some awful occasional bounces.
