COLTRANE_CONTENT_DIRECTORY setting doesn't work #57

Closed iamjameswalters closed 4 months ago

Hi there! 👋️

I set COLTRANE_CONTENT_DIRECTORY to a different value (in my case, help_content) and doing this doesn't change anything. Changing the environment variable to a non-existent directory does nothing, it still reads from content, and renaming the content directory, no matter what the environment variable is set to, makes things crash.

Wanted to make sure and file this bug. If I find time later, I might take a crack at fixing it myself. 🔧️

Oh no, that doesn't sound good. Let me know if you end up tackling this, otherwise I can take a look in a few days. 👍

I just tried changing COLTRANE_CONTENT_DIRECTORY in the example app .env file (https://github.com/adamghill/coltrane/blob/main/example_standalone/.env#L10) and I renamed the content directory to help_content and the site loads for me.

If you can provide a PR or a sample app that replicates this issue, let me know. Thanks!

It's been a while, so I'm going to close it. Feel free to re-open if you have a test case I can replicate with.

Sure. Sorry, haven't had the margin to explore it more, I've just left Coltrane's stuff in the content directory for now. One of these days I may peg it down. Thanks for this--using it for some user facing documentation in an internal app!
