Install the Markdown All in One VC code extension Now when in the README, I can bring up the VC code palette and look for Create Table of Contents

There is also an option to update table of contents

You need to make sure that in the plugin settings, slugifyMode is set to github I think this is default since I just installed the extension and the value was github already

@adamhill I tried to put our TOC in a table but my VS code kept removing the code for the column I am was putting in the middle. I think the extension is not allowing me to put something inside the table of contents. Do you have the same issue?
