Porting the game to Haxe and OpenFL framework may be a alternative method instead of using a custom flash player.

It could enable:

Native binaries
HTML5 Support

This has been in the back of my mind for a while. I'm scared of the weird issues that it possibly presents, but this is probably the best option to get this game running again (and probably most importantly capbable of being run on the web).
