It has occurred to me that perhaps using the acute accent character for Mac,
perhaps it would be better to indicate accented syllables by some other means
that can be converted later. Do you have a suggestion?
What has prompted me to do this is that I see that I cannot accent a "y" using
the system I'm using.
Please recommend to me what you would like to see. If possible, perhaps I can
mark up the text with symbols like |bold| and _italic_ that will add acute
accent marks. Thoughts?

I can't reproduce this either; Accented characters are working fine for me.
Could you include the error message you are getting?

In TeX, you can mark accents using the notation \'y i.e., backslash apostrophe
letter. Therefore, if you mark them this way, it will already work, and you
can mark y as accented.

That's fantastic. Will take note and apply this to the verses in our system.
Is there a way for me to edit the verse files directly yet?
