Accented texts #45

I plan to (and now am beginning to) go through the entire RGP and point
penultimate and final accents with accent marks. This I would like to use as
the default arrangement of texts for a variety of performance reasons, among
the harmonized verses that rely upon this system. Currently I'm getting an
error message when trying to use a text such as the following. I wonder if it
is because of the accent marks. Can you fix?

Blessed indéed is the |mán| *
who follows not the counsel óf the |wíck|ed,
nor stands in the páth with |sín|ners, *
nor abides in the cómpany of |scórn|ers,
but whose delight is the láw of the |LÓRD|, *
and who ponders his law dáy and |níght|.

He is like a tree that is planted †
     beside the flówing |wá|ters, *
that yields its frúit in due |séa|son,
and whose leaves shall néver |fáde|; *
and all that he dóes shall |prós|per.

Not so are the wicked, not so! †
For they, like wínnowed |cháff|, *
shall be driven awáy by the |wínd|.

When the wicked are judged they sháll not |ríse|, *
     nor shall sinners in the council óf the |júst|;
for the LORD knows the wáy of the |júst|, *
but the way of the wícked will |pér|ish.

It has occurred to me that perhaps using the acute accent character for Mac,
perhaps it would be better to indicate accented syllables by some other means
that can be converted later. Do you have a suggestion?

What has prompted me to do this is that I see that I cannot accent a "y" using
the system I'm using.

Please recommend to me what you would like to see. If possible, perhaps I can
mark up the text with symbols like |bold| and _italic_ that will add acute
accent marks. Thoughts?

I can't reproduce this either; Accented characters are working fine for me.
Could you include the error message you are getting?

In TeX, you can mark accents using the notation \'y i.e., backslash apostrophe
letter. Therefore, if you mark them this way, it will already work, and you
can mark y as accented.

That's fantastic. Will take note and apply this to the verses in our system.

Is there a way for me to edit the verse files directly yet?
