Carbon-cost of diets example #10

The idea of a low-carbon diet to feed the world has been in the news recently:

But there's a problem - I don't like shellfish. And I commute by bike. Does that mean that I can have a hamburger? This is a nice example of optimisation theory! Minimise my carbon whilst sustaining my nutrient needs and a few treats.

Work up as a case study and example

GoogleAI's team (that writes ORtools) actually have an prototype of this, using simplex to solve the nutrient arm of the problem. Based on a 1947 study no less!!

I wonder if the data are available! At least they are Oxford based - I can cycle and ask them nicely.
