End of book blocked everything #32

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I finished the adaptation of a book (3JN)
2. The message: 'i The end. Provided you have not missed anything earlier,
there is nothing more to adapt in this file' showed up
3. This message was not displayed correctly, but started to flicker (coming
and going at a high speed)
4. Then nothing more worked in Ubuntu 8.04.
My colleague next to me showed me to kill adaptit in order to be able to
continue to work.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Check this out.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
AI 4.1.1./Linux (Ubuntu 8.04)

Please provide any additional information below.
I will try now to restart Adapt It, but I will Submit this Issue first in
order not to loose it.

Starting the project 3JN again, the phrase box is in 3JN 1:5 (I suppose at the
end of
the first bundle

Now accepting the proposed translation, again the end of the file is reached
with the
same flickering message.
In the titlebar of this message, numbers are running high (up to 55) and then
stopped.

This time I rebooted Ubuntu (Logout of the session did not work).
When Ubuntu came up, Adapt It started too with the Welcome screen.

Choosing the same project works,
and choosing a different text (1JN) which I had adapted till chapter 2 works
too, so
the KB seems to be OK.

Tried the same with a different text (2JN) in the same project.
What happened this time, that after the last word, AI's phrase box jumped to an
empty
space. Then hitting Enter started the flickering message mentioned above and
blocks
everything in Ubuntu.

Thanks Wolfgang for the report. I was able to duplicate the problem in the Linux
version, and have fixed the problem which will appear in the next update of the
Linux
version.
