I wrote to you about this issue, I believe, by email so my response was not
recorded
as an issue on this list. So I summarize here what the status of this problem is
currently. Basically the problem of not being able to use the up arrow when at
the
top item of a list to cycle down to the last item; or use the down arrow when
at the
bottom item of a list to cycle up to the first item - is a problem currently
that
only appears in the Linux version of Adapt It. The Windows and Macintosh
versions
behave as one would expect. On Linux, however, in the underlying widget code
(which I
don't have direct control over), something happens that allows the
"selected/highlighted" item in the list to get disconnected from the "current"
item
(the item that gets a dashed box drawn around it). On Linux, I've not been able
to
figure out how to keep the "selected/highlighted" item to stay together with the
"current" item (with dashed box) when the up arrow is pressed at the top item
(or the
down arrow is pressed on the bottom item). The problem, as you experienced it,
happens because the up/down arrow command allows these two things to get
separated -
but only on the Linux version. The work around of course, is to simply press the
arrow keys multiple times to select the desired item and Enter, rather than
trying to
cycle immediately from one end of the list to the opposite end as a shortcut
route to
the desired list item. Another partial work around is to move the most common
list
item to the top of the list, so fewer arrow key movements will be required. I
think I
can eventually fix the problem on Linux, but it will take a lot of work to do
so, so
I'm marking the status of this issue as "Accepted" but "Low priority" for now.
