The mechanism for downloading components is changing in the upcoming release. I think this will include this functionality, but I'd appreciate you evaluating it when it is available.

This is obsolete since the download-toolchain.sh script now handles the download of additional GCC modules - and if they already exist will not download them. The changes are currently on the 2014.08.rc branch.
