v1.1.0 b5: Swiping narrative shifts displayed page area #69

Closed shauncg closed 10 years ago

shauncg commented 10 years ago

Swiping through a narrative's images - sometimes even just tapping them - shifts the displayed area of the page back to the top. This occurs whether or not the user has interacted with other elements on the page. It occurs in both landscape and portrait orientation. Note that the displayed narrative slide will still change.

This issue does not occur when using the arrows to navigate through the narrative instead. It also will no longer occur for a narrative component once the strapline has been used to open a DT in portrait orientation. It will still happen for other narrative components on the same page, although they will often shift the displayed page area up or down a little rather than pinging all the way to the top.

Nb. this will also affect the Hot Graphic component in portrait mode, which appears to shift to a narrative-style layout in this orientation.

Observed w/ Nexus 7, Chrome browser.

This also occurs on the iPad Mini (Safari). This tablet runs at a high enough resolution that even in portrait mode the sliders display in the desktop-style layout. This means it's not possible to open a narrative DT, which means it's not possible to circumvent this problem by any method other than using the arrows (no swiping).

Swipe has been removed until we have time to refactor the broken code

Confirmed that 'swipe' has been removed, however this is still an issue. New ticket opened here: #73
