NEW DAWN
========
New Dawn is a game invented by Targossas's own Minister of Culture,
Tesha al Ashtad.
There are two main factions in New Dawn: the Targossians, and the
Darkwalkers. There are also some rumors of Sartai and Nihilists.
Everyone appears to be Targossian, but some people are lying. The goal
of the Targossians is to uncover and eliminate all enemies through
discussion, logic, and eventual democratic voting in the day. The goal
of the Darkwalkers is to outlast the Targossians until they control the
votes through majority, and they may achieve this by killing one person
each night. This is a game that is all about psychology, logic, and
deception.
FACTIONS
--------
TARGOSSIANS - The goal of the Targossians is to burn all of the
Darkwalkers, any Sartai, and any Nihilist through democratic voting. The
classes available to Targossians are Priest, Paladin, Serpent, Magi,
Monk, Alchemist, Blademaster, Bard, Jester, and Runewarden. The titles
available to Targossians are Dawnlord, Herald of Redemption, Guardian of
the Blades, Aarashi Shamshir, Aarashi Rasul, and Caefir. It should be
noted that not all Targossians will have a title.
SARTAI - The goal of the Sartai is to be the last person standing. The
Sartai may kill someone during the night. The classes available to the
Sartai are Apostate, Infernal, Magi, Monk, Alchemist, Blademaster, Bard,
Jester, and Runewarden. The title available to the Sartai is Dreadlord.
There will only be one Sartai, and he will carry the Dreadlord title.
The Dreadlord may kill someone at night using KILL <target>.
DARKWALKERS - The goal of the Darkwalkers is to achieve majority in the
Dawnspear by strategically killing Targossians during the night and
successfully deceiving Targossas into believing they are innocent. The
Darkwalkers vote on who should die, and the target with the most votes
is targeted. The classes available to Darkwalkers are Serpent, Magi,
Monk, Alchemist, Blademaster, Bard, Jester, and Runewarden. The titles
available to Darkwalkers are Umbral Guardian, Abyssal Master, Dark
Reaver, and Nightstalker. It should be noted that not all Darkwalkers
will have a title.
NIHILISTS - The Nihilists have not yet infiltrated the Dawnspear.
However, here are the details anyway: the goal of the Nihilist is to
manipulate the group until only the Nihilist, a Targossian, and a
Darkwalker remain. The classes available to the Nihilist are Magi, Monk,
Alchemist, Blademaster, Bard, Jester, and Runewarden. The title
available to the Nihilist is the Herald of Entropy. There will only be
one Nihilist, and he will carry the Herald of Entropy title.
CLASSES
-------
PRIEST - The Priest class is available only to the Targossians. If ever
targeted by a kill during the night by a Darkwalker or a Sartai, the
Priest's angel will sacrifice herself, preventing the death. This can
only happen once per game. There are rumors of Priests and Paladins
researching the sacred bloodswearing rite, but bloodswearing is not yet
discovered.
PALADIN - The Paladin class is only available to the Targossians.
Paladins are capable of using CHALLENGE <target> to demand a duel.
During a challenge, votes may only be cast on either the Paladin or the
target. There are rumors of Priests and Paladins researching the sacred
bloodswearing rite, but bloodswearing is currently not yet discovered.
APOSTATE - The Apostate class is available to the Sartai faction.
Apostates have prepared a soulcage as well as vengeance. Soulcage will
protect the Apostate if they are ever killed, during the day, and
vengeance will kill the last person who voted to burn them, should they
be burned.
INFERNAL - The Infernal class is available to the Sartai faction.
Infernals are capable of using CHALLENGE <target> to demand a duel.
During a challenge, votes may only be cast on either the Infernal or the
target.
SERPENT - The Serpent class is available to all factions. Every night,
there is a 25% chance the Serpent will evade any attempts to watch them
overnight.
MAGI - The Magi class is available to all factions. Magi have a 25%
chance every night to learn a random person's faction, class, and title.
MONK - The Monk class is available to all factions. Monks have a 25%
chance every night to learn something about up to three players.
ALCHEMIST - The Alchemist class is available to all factions. Alchemists
have a 25% chance to survive a burning.
BLADEMASTER - The Blademaster class is available to all factions.
Blademasters have a 25% chance to survive an assassination attempt by a
Darkwalker or a murder attempt by a Sartai.
BARD - The Bard class is available to all factions. Bards have a 25%
chance for their vote to count as 2 for burning any time they cast a
vote.
JESTER - The Jester class has not yet been discovered in the Dawnspear.
RUNEWARDEN - The Runewarden class has not yet been discovered in the
Dawnspear.
TITLES
------
DAWNLORD - The Dawnlord title is available to the Targossians. The
Dawnlord may Watch someone over night, witnessing any action they take
during the night (watch/murder/block/guard/investigate). Be warned that
there are some uncommon titles or classes that might circumvent your
watching ability.
HERALD OF REDEMPTION - The Herald of Redemption title is available to
the Targossians. The Herald of Redemption may investigate someone during
the night, learning their class,title, and faction.
GUARDIAN OF THE BLADES - The Guardian of the Blades title is available
to the Targossians. The Guardian of the Blades may protect one person
over night using PROTECT <target>, shielding them from being
assassinated by Darkwalkers or Sartai. Note that if you try to protect
someone with a Dark Reaver in the game, you will perish. See also: help

AARASHI SHAMSHIR - The Aarashi Shamshir title is available to the
Targossians. The Shamshir may kill someone during the night using KILL
<target>. Note that the soulcage of an Apostate would protect them,
should you target one.
AARASHI RASUL - The Aarashi Rasul title is available to the Targossians.
The Aarashi Rasul may choose to block someone using BLOCK <target>,
preventing them from doing anything during the night.
CAEFIR - The Caefir title is available to the Targossians. The Caefir
may choose to anoint someone in holy oil during the day before a
burning, revealing themselves in the process. The oil will only burn the
guilty.
DREADLORD - The Dreadlord title is available to the Sartai. The
Dreadlord may kill someone at night using KILL <target>.
UMBRAL GUARDIAN - The Umbral Guardian title is available to the
Darkwalkers. The Umbral Guardian may choose to block someone using BLOCK
<target>, preventing them from doing anything during the night.
ABYSSAL MASTER - The Abyssal Master title is available to the
Darkwalkers. If investigated, the results of the investigation will show
up as though either the investigator was blocked, or the Abyssal Master
was protected.
DARK REAVER - The Dark Reaver title is available to the Darkwalkers. If
the Dark Reaver is present and the Darkwalker's assassination target is
protected by the Guardian of the Blades, the Guardian will be slain
instead.
NIGHTSTALKER - The Nightstalker title is available to the Darkwalkers.
The Nightstalker may choose to investigate someone overnight by doing
INVESTIGATE <target>, learning their class and title.
