Agreed. I like what Baystation12 has for the xenology. I also like the old artifact stuff that could be gotten from asteroid mining.
I'd like these two present in the new science portion of spess.
Make the artifacts R&D-able so we can have more technology. Anyone thinking ancient EVA suits and cyborgs? Let's not forget about mechs too :3
@taukausanake Artifacts will be of two types: the first have their own special functionality which must be discovered, and 'lost technology' which can be R&D'd. The old tg artifacts only had the first type. I want the second type too.
I'm going to start messing around with this. I think I'll build it on the next z-level up so as to not make the change permanent. I'll make a commit of it so the rest of you can try it
So seeing that we are pretty much making our own map now, or using the preset TG Station map, I guess this issue is closed for the purpose of adding in a Terralabs branch of the station. Too bad we can't import the old station but it does bring up the nice idea of it being the derelict station...
So just putting this up here as a note, but Terralabs will need to be made eventually. Xenobiology will be in it as well as Toxins and Robotics I would believe. A full Chemistry should be in there too while leaving the small stuff in Medbay storage. Also move the server room in there because that's the R&D Director's responsibility
