Changelog:
Added portable landing beacons (See below for details)
Ported VG's gumshoe variant for the detective (pics below).
VG has since added some new holomap markers, so I ported those (pic below).
Added two portable landing beacons to the salvage shuttle.
Added portable landing beacons to various salvage yard ruins
Medbots now have voices, courtesy of TGstation.
Made the Choose Occupation screen less of an almighty eyesore (pic below).
Alternate job titles are now displayed in the late-join screen.
Moved broken maps to a defunct maps folder
Fixed shuttle rotation and broken shuttles
Moved the WIP/Quisoves Pugnat folder out of the repository
It turns I inadvertently broke mech building way back when I ported holomaps. It's fixed now.
Undid Bast's unauthorized map changes
Fixed the flurry of holomap-related runtimes
Salvage yard ruins can once more be accessed via the "Jump to Ruin" debug verb
On a related note, regular space ruins are now placed using the same method as the salvage ones.
The latest and greatest from ScataLogic, the portable landing beacon employs state of the art bluespace technology to allow for easy navigation of difficult sectors (provided the navigation server has them mapped.)
PLBs can only be used in the salvage yard at present. The salvage ship starts with two, but more can found in various salvage ruins.
To deploy one, simply click on it or press ctrl+z, as one would any other device.
To rotate one, right click it and select the "Rotate Beacon" verb.
Once one has been deployed, it will begin the process of scanning the immediate vicinity to ensure that it is safe for landing.
Beacons can be undeployed, and deployment can be cancelled while in progress.
After a successful deployment, the beacon will appear in the linked shuttle's list of possible destinations.
Assorted pictures:
The Gumshoe
Includes a vox variant.
For maximum effect, activate the detective's noir glasses.
The new holomarkers.
The revised "Choose Occupation" screen.
That should be all. I don't believe I've forgotten anything of note.
Cheers!
EDIT: I forgot to mention that new PLBs can be constructed via protolathe. Required techs are level 5 Bluespace and level 5 Programming.
Required materials are 150 metal and 150 glass.
