messages not being replied #366

The group chats are being replied to but the private messages are not. I noticed that when the app is in foreground, it replies with some hiccups but when in background, the messages do not reach the sender. So, I turned battery optimisation for the app but still it does not work. I had the auto-reply option on and the reply frequency is default (it's in beta so I tried not to touch it) and also turned on the always on notification along with "Show notification for replied messages". But, simply does not work. This is for the Facebook Messenger.

Any updates? Could please post your android-version and your phone-manufacturer?
