Look at salinity changes with time from control and meltwater perturb and compare to observations. Observations:

200-1000 m depth and spatial mean of salinity in the Amundsen Sea, defined as a box between 75 to 70 South and 125 to 100 West.

Do we know how this compares to obs?

I haven't managed to find any time series so far - my task for this avo.

Below is a comparison of 200-700 m depth and spatial mean of temperature in the Amundsen Sea, compared with some other modelling results. The comparison modelled temperatures are from Naughten et al (2022) Fig. 1 b and are the ensemble mean of the PACE simulations (performed using the MITgcm including components for the ocean, sea ice, and ice shelf thermodynamics). Note that Caitlin Naughten et al (2022) are performing a 'hypothesis test', and I am not sure how fair this comparison is. At the moment, these are the only comparison time series I can find. They are iSTAR mooring data, but that will take me a while to extract.
