Screw holes don't match Massdrop's acrylic case #1

Unfortunately, the acrylic case sold by Massdrop doesn't have the screw holes in the same spot as Litster's design. I need to make another version that lines up, since that's what most people have.

For what it's worth, the holes line up nicely so the Ergodox can sit on top of the tents. I went ahead and printed them and I'm just using them as is, the nuts on the bottom of the acrylic case sit inside the holes and keep everything in place.

Thanks for the model, you should consider uploading to Thingiverse for others to discover. I can do so and provide attribution to this repo. I just stumbled across this model by accident, but I had been looking for Ergodox related prints for a while. Great stuff though, thanks!

Nice! I think just the screw holes on the full hand don't line up, or at least they didn't on the build one of my coworkers had.

What is a reasonable cost to have one printed? A local shop quoted 60 USD printed with PLA but I have never had anything 3d printed. Thanks

That sounds very pricy to me... I printed them with a very high % infill, and I think I used 30-40m of ABS plastic. I think a spool has roughly 400m of plastic, and on average, a spool might cost $30? So it was a few bucks in plastic. You're likely paying for the printer time. I think mine took 6-7 hours to print (may have been less, I don't really remember). But I'm sure you could find it cheaper elsewhere. Lot's of sites out there that will commission prints. It's a very easy print as well, so there's not a lot of work involved.

You could give Shapeways (http://www.shapeways.com/) a look or there are a few subreddits for this: http://www.reddit.com/r/3dprintmything
