Teacher- Manage Students gives PARSE ERROR #14

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Login with teacher/teacher user
2. Click on Manage Students
3. Try to search any student (any way), gives the following error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in 
/hsphere/local/home/ayalapau/spanish4kids.net/school/teacher_student_2.php on 
line 187

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I expect to find a student, to be able to manage it. I get the following error:

/hsphere/local/home/ayalapau/spanish4kids.net/school/teacher_student_2.php on 
line 187

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Latest (downloaded yesterday), on linux based hosting

Please provide any additional information below.
