looking good!
A few quick edit ideas (feel free to push back if you disagree):
At Cookies and Code last week, we got the chance to meet Dan Newman, a pretty cool junior in SEAS. A computer science major on the Applications track, Dan plans on graduating a semester early to work in the technology division of Goldman Sachs. By then, he would already have worked there for two summers — he worked in operations technology there last summer and will be returning this summer to work in global securities services technology.
While most CS students fret about landing that Google internship, what fascinated us about Dan was how he ended up loving work at an investment banking firm when his studies at Columbia were related strictly to computer science.
I think it could maybe become:
While most Computer Science students fret about landing a Google internship, Dan Newman, a Junior in SEAS, has other plans. At Cookies and Code last week, we got the chance to meet Dan and learn about his plans to graduate a semester early to work in the technology division of Goldman Sachs.
By then, he would have already worked there for two summers — he worked in Operations Technology last summer and will be returning this summer to work in Global Securities Services Technology. It turns out, his story is not so uncommon; technology and finance are tightly integrated, and it makes people like Dan extremely valuable in the workplace.
Just rearranging things a little bit pulls the hook about a Google internship to the top :]
I added Dan's edits (thanks!!!!)
