Here are some ideas. Feel free to leave comments with other ideas or extensions!

Notes app

Make a clone of the Apple Notes app, on the web

Extensions: AI completions + AI images, collaborative features, and flashy designs

Messaging app

Chat with your friends (and enemies).

Extensions: AI messaging, collaborative docs for each group, video chats, and flashy designs

Curation app

Make lists of books, movies, restaurants, etc. Think Goodreads, Letterboxd or Beli.

Extensions: Make them sharable, add locations, add AR, add in-app currency, etc.

Content Management System (CMS)

A no-code tool that lets you upload and edit articles in a web-based graphical interface.

Extensions: AI content generation, AI tagging/search, publishing content other than articles (music, videos, 3D assets, etc.)

Crossword puzzle

An interface for playing the NY mini crossword, or any other small puzzle game.

Extensions: Ranking system

Library Tracker

Tracks how long you spend at each library broken down by library.

Extensions: Add social network to compare statistics with friends, add mobile integration for background tracking, heat maps

We've decided on a movie curation app, which fits in with the cartoon theme for Devfest 2024.

Also, curation has the most avenues for customization.
