how to add a sliding drawer, which moves from top to bottom? #266

Add an sliding drawer at the top of the activity in android 2.3.3.
I tried to customize the sliding drawer by extending the ViewGroup class and 
then added it to the xml file. But it gives an error and frocefully close the 
application.

Could any tell me how to achieve this.Thanks in advance
