Hi creators,

Thank you so much for your work. As someone with disabilities myself, I have recently run into so many problems that are exactly addressed by your tool. I know it was already a bit of time ago, but I wanted to ask if 1) there are any newer versions, or other work being done on this or other similar projects? and 2) Do you have a how-to to show me how to run it myself (either locally, or host a web version for my own private use)??

I'd really really appreciate it, or any other leads you have! (or any other suggestions for transcribing some medical appointment recordings I have - I can't afford to pay lots of money for the transcriptions/I would like to do it myself, and I also don't feel comfortable using any of the "free" services out there, as it is my sensitive medical data on the recordings!!)

Sincerely, Jon

Hi Jon,

Thanks for your interest in our project. We made this project in a hackathon and have used AssemblyAI API for the transcription purpose.

This link contains a video of the demonstration - https://devpost.com/software/vid2text About Assembly AI - https://www.assemblyai.com/

P.S. - We have not developed the model ourselves and using the free version of the API, so you might want to consider about the sensitive medical data on the recordings. However AssemblyAI data policies should be favourable in your case.

Regards, Aditya
