Hierarchical menus? #1463

What would be the best approach to adding support for hierarchical menus? I've tried implementing them as per Ashish Lahoti's guide, but that doesn't seem to work with PaperMod.

I sort of did this in my recent PR that got closed. Just opened a new "enhancement" entry to try to get it approved #1503
