Continue figure numbering in child document #40

I have a child document in my Rmd, where I have figures and tables. I have created a set of captions in the parent document which are not visible when I try to cite it in the child document. And putting these captions in the child document resets the numbering.

Is there a workaround to this?

PS: Thanks for the super useful package!
