Use of code blocks in Markdown is a good thing. While it was brought up that "application/json" code blocks are lacking, the document does need to add many other instances of code blocks where a specific data format and value (per the style guide) are used. Quite often these are mistakenly double quotes (single quotes are the catch-all and would be acceptable if not specifically code).

Keep this in mind for a document sweep.
