SD.begin() should return an error code on failure, not enter an infinite loop. #403

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Call SD.begin() with no SD card present, for example.
2. Notice that the code freezes.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

There should be some return error code instead of an infinite loop.
