why using a proxy? #14

It's not an issue, but I don't another way of asking you this. Can you explain why you use a proxy?

Greetings, the reason I use a proxy is to inject the polling script tag into the pages, and make a service available on a local domain for the page to ask for what to do next. If you have thoughts on a better architecture, I'm all ears! thanks for the contribs.
