What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Hold the device in a portrait orientation.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect the screen to orient itself according to the way the device is being
held. Instead, it is hard-coded to landscape orientation. (Thus, I see text at
a 90 degree angle! ;-)
What version of android-vnc-viewer are you using?
Now you're asking difficult questions :-) Whatever the current version is at
the current date.
Which VNC server/version are you using? On which platform?
What is the size of the desktop you are trying to access (i.e. 1024x768,
1920x1080...)?
Good questions. I am actually running the Ubuntu image on my Galaxy Tab found
on XDA, here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=836022. Resolution of the VNC
server is set to 600x1024 (i.e. a portrait screen mode).
What device are you using?
Galaxy Tab.
Please provide any additional information below.
My objective is to get the PDF annotation tool Jarnal running on a tablet
device - hence running the Ubuntu image then using a VNC client on the device
to connect to localhost. Ideally I want to display a single page on the tablet,
hence the need for portrait orientation. (This is probably irrelevant, though)
