Off-scope suggestion: Remap 屄 (U+5C44) to TW for JP/KR (and adjust the TW glyph too) #435

While I was looking through past issues, I think something's quite off with regards to 屄 (U+5C44). The JP/KR locales are currently using the CN glyph (for both Sans and Serif), but I think the TW glyph could have been more appropriate for those locales.

@kevite: With regard to your U+5C44 屄 suggestion, this character is outside the scope of KS X 1001 and KS X 1002, so unless there is an existing glyph that is a better match for KR use, and there is not, no change will be made. However, this glyph is outside the scope of Adobe-Japan1-6, meaning that it is a candidate for removal in order to make room for HK glyphs in Version 2.000. If the glyph is not removed, I made a note to change it glyph to conform to KR conventions.

@kenlunde: Just get rid of uni5C44-JP. I wonder why uni5C44-JP even exists. Use uni5C44-CN for the Japanese and Korean versions instead, like what you did in Source Han Sans for this character.

Yes, while the JP glyph in v1 Serif was not appropriate for KR, and even then, that glyph was off-scope for both locales (so it was removed in v2 Serif), I can't help but think why didn't Adobe use the TW glyph instead for JP/KR to keep with the faux-traditional orthography with regards to the 八 and/or 入 components? I can bet some glyphs using such components, currently mapped to CN, can safely be remapped to TW glyphs for the JP and KR locales (although probably not all of them). Just like 肏 (U+808F) and how it was remapped to TW for JP/KR (for Sans only, Serif still uses CN for JP/KR which I asked in an earlier issue to fix).

For JP/KR, 肏 should use the TW (right) glyph instead of CN (left), since 入 is in the traditional print style.

Anyway, while I won't have time to check for other similar glyphs, I request to remap 屄 (U+5C44) to the TW glyph for JP/KR. Applies to both Sans and Serif.

And also with regards to issue #414, adjust the TW glyph as well so the 八 matches JP balance and proportions.

Ignored as of Noto Serif v2.002. Not even a simple remap.

I will be closing this issue because I plan to open a new one regarding using some TW/HK glyphs for JP/KR, which will also include 屄 (U+5C44). For now, I have consolidated this issue into this link.
