This seems to be for Hokkien written with the Pe̍h-ōe-jī transcription system. The superscript letter n is used to indicate the nasalization of a vowel after the vowel letter. In some contexts, like full caps or small caps, the superscript n may also be shown as a superscript cap N or a superscript small cap n.
