I elaborated more on @bdelacretaz 's HtmlTemplateBrick to have loops. I can't say this is a better developer experience or performant yet–it might?. However, I thought it was worth experimenting with. For what is worth, I was able to create testimonials very quickly w/o any JS code in my brick's class.

It also includes eager/lazy loading scripts and css which I use to preload a non-brick Web Component aem-tabs that is then used in the aem-testimonials brick.
