The top menu’s UI of DS panel change to local language if bring up a traditional PS dialog. #3709

Problem: The top menu’s UI of DS panel change to local language if bring up a traditional PS dialog., Like File->New…,

Method:

  1. Launch PS 20150506.m.53 build on JPN Mac 10.10.2 OS.
  2. Check "Enable Design Space" in preference dialog and DS UI display, it is in English, same as the top menu.
  3. File->New..., New dialog pop up.
  4. The top menu UI changed to Japanese.

Result: The top menu’s UI of DS panel change to local language if bring up a traditional PS dialog.

Expected: Should be keep in DS UI.

Note:

  1. This issue also occur on Win 8.1.2 64 bit OS.
  2. This issue occur on all local language.
  3. This issue also occur on ENU OS.

Unfortunately it is a known limitation of the Spaces plugin/platform that the standard PS menu is shown when modal dialogs are visible, and there's nothing we can do to work around this in the near term. (@jsbache will correct me if I'm wrong.)

I'm confused though about why, when you launch a Japanese build, you see the English translation of Design Space. What language is enabled in the standard UI interface prefs?

@iwehrman It is English Photoshop/DesignSpace, but running on Japanese Mac System. When File->New dialog is opened, which is a Photoshop local dialog, the DesignSpace UI is changed to Japanese, not Photoshop's locale setting - English.

@iwehrman Do you want me close this issue or keep it open for track?

@fzhu1978 Thanks for the report. I'll assign to @ktaki for now to do a little more investigation.

@fzhu1978: If you are running Ps with English UI, you should not see Japanese UI even if you are running it on Japanese OS. Can you or have somebody confirm this with the latest Ps GM 2015.1.2? If you see otherwise, please attach the screen shots.

(My guess is that when the original bug was written back in May, UI translation was not done or missing. Set Ps to run in Japanese UI and switched it to DS which still had English UI. Then, it is understandable that it showed Japanese menu bar from standard Ps when the Open modal dialog is shown in DS.)

@ktaki @iwehrman Let me ask QE to regress on the latest build. Once they response in Watson I will update the screenshot and comments here. Thanks!
