AEM 6.2 problems #78

Hi, the extension seams to have problem syncing with the newest version of Adobe Experiance Manager 6.2. Anyone tried this with the latest version? 6.2 came out this year, and the plugin have not had an release sine December last year.

@Dankojo I am using the lastet version. Syncing text files, html, js, css, jsp ... works fine. I am having trouble with .content.xml files though. I did not start investigating, yet.

Hi @neslob Have a look at https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/crx/2-3/how_to/how_to_use_the_vlttool.html

The VLT Sync feature only supports simple files and folders but detects special vault serialized files (.content.xml, dialog.xml, etc) and ignores them silently. Thus it is possible to use vault sync on a default vlt checkout.

You can still right clic on those files and "Export to server" manually

thanks @josebercianowhitbread The problem is that once I save a .content.xml file. Autosync kicks in and breaks my sync.

I have to manually

  1. close brackets
  2. force quit a brackets-node process (running @100%)
  3. start brackets

Thanks for the answers, but there must be a better way to work with front-end development and AEM. The process with brackets and it crashing not syncing all files and manually have to sync files is so time consuming.

I'm using Brackets 1.7 and AEM 6.1 and having the same issue. An entire client library wasn't syncing to AEM until I would manually export the content.xml file to server.

Closing due to lack of details about what exactly was not working.

Release 0.0.14 of the AEM Brackets Extension fixed two issues which seem to be the ones identified by the additional comments:

I tested the sync features of the extension with the AEM Core Components from [0] and everything seemed to work correctly (full content package import and export, client library synchronisation after file change [changed some JS code and a .content.xml file]).
