[Teaser] On templates, adaptive image not picking the optimized size #1531

Bug Report

Current Behavior When a Teaser is placed in a template, either unlocked or locked, the adaptiveImage does not retrieve a size for the image. It will always display the core-rendition, e.g.:

http://localhost:4502/content/wknd/language-masters/en/magazine/ski-touring.coreimg.jpeg/structure/_jcr_content/root/container/teaser_1375760747/1619199400201/skitouring.jpeg

Expected behavior/code The correct rendition from the delegated img-cmp should be used. This does work on Teasers directly placed on the page instead of the template

Environment

Possible Solution None that I am aware of

Workaround Instead of placing an unlocked teaser directly in the template an unlocked container can be place with only the teaser allowed

@gabrielwalt We are experiencing the issue when we do resizing of the browser. It always displays the core rendition in adaptive image.

Earlier we were using AEM 6.5.2 and adobe core component version 2.10. It was working. Once we upgraded it to AEM 6.5.8 and adobe core component version 2.15.0, image rendition update stopped working.

Is it applicable to only teaser component or is it happening to all components having images?

We'll ensure that this doesn't happen anymore in the new image v3 component.

is there any update on this bug? experiencing the same where the image src in teaser component is not changing to the correct image rendition

Hi @mikasayeager14, sorry for the delayed answer. We're targeting that for Q1'22.
