If you encountered any crashes, please save the crash details as a text file and provide a link to download.

A crash occured when using John Dunning's Keyboard Resize. I pressed the shortcut (ctrl+shift+up arrow) multiple times really fast to resize a rectangle (something I actually do all the time and most of the time works fine). Crash log can be found here:

On behalf of my colleague: Crashed trying to open a document from a local copy of SVN, using cmd+O from within Fireworks, then switching to another application while it was opening.

Crashed while switching pages in the second (big) document I had open. Before it gave an error that it couldn't complete my request.

Fireworks crashed when Adobe Applications Manager was done updating Ps &Ai and Fireworks Auto Backup (AIR app) tried backing up the file.

@ajilderda You seem to have a lot of crashes. Just curious, but do you have a lot of Flash extension panels open when working?

I also use Fw a lot. ;) I actually had 4 crashes so far today (but forgot to save the logs of the other 3, yikes!). I do have some Flash panels open, yes:

I asked because I'm in FW a lot as well and don't run into crashes nearly as often. The main differences I see is that I have 8GB of ram and I found that minimizing the Flash panels when I'm not using them improved performance and cut back on the number of crashes I ran into.

Also, back with CS3 I used to get crashed due to bad font cache, but I think that was an issue with OS X that was fixed with Leopard.

I do believe there's a relation between the Flash panels and the amount of crashes I experience. Also the amount of RAM is important I think, since I found Fw a little more stable at my previous workstation (which had 8gb RAM). But the fact is, I use some of these panels all the time, so closing them is unfortunately not really an option for me.

Fireworks crashed while trying to change the font of a piece of text inside a textbox. This textbox sits inside a (footer) symbol (graphic) that's used on 5 different pages.

I'm losing my temper with Fireworks. This little piece of shit software just crashes all the freaking time. Even the recovery feature fails to recover files. I post a lot of crash reports here, but it crashes even more often (I forget to click the 'report' button pretty often). Everyday I love FW less and less, and it's not worth it's money. Adobe is lucky with it's monopoly position in the creative field, cause else I already switched to a competitor years ago...

Thanks Jason. I've tried the Sketch trial and think it has lots of potentional, but I think it's too limited at this moment. The speed of the application is really good.

Fireworks crash while saving a document. Before an error popped up several times after I moved an object. Seems like a memory leak issue.

Fireworks also failed to recover the document ('recovered' file is 233 bytes big...).
