The http client isn't properly closed anywhere which keeps the JVM running unless it's forcefully stopped.

@skossi sorry about reply so late, I just have time to get back to this project. Could you please squash into one commit? I will merge this asap.

@AdoHe No problem! I removed the latter commit as it was a specific modification for a project (forgot I was using the same branch).
