Notification present but no information shown. #107

Hi,

I love this application and I use it daily (so thanks to all contributors πŸ™Œ.) However, finally updating from v1.4 to release v1.5. I have stumbled upon a bug shown below, the notification is shown however nothing in the notification is present.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, clearing cache etc. I just thought I would see if anyone has any suggestions or has the same issue? I'm using Android 10 on Samsung's One UI 2.5. It's also worth mentioning this is v1.5 specific as I can use v1.4 without any issues. I'm happy to answer any questions if additional information is needed just let me know.

I also experienced the problem. Looks like our notification is getting bigger and bigger for some reason:

I am trying to understand what causes the leak.

This is very strange. Looks like every write to a RemoteView will increase its size, even if it is overriding already-existing resource. The only way I found around it was to reallocate the remote views array on every loop iteration:

            for (; ; ) {
                RemoteViews[] notificationArr = new RemoteViews[] {new RemoteViews(getPackageName(), R.layout.status_big), new RemoteViews(getPackageName(), R.layout.status_small)};

I tested the Parcel size using the following snippet:

                        notification.writeToParcel(parcel, 0);

                        parcel.recycle();

I just got an update for Samsung's One UI 3 and looks like samsung has managed to screw it up again. I hope to debug it again tomorrow.

@Reflexe Oh cool, yeah I had the same update to One UI 3 finally updated to Android 11, not sure if that will have any additional effects?

@adolfintel If it's not currently working on One UI 3, I'm going to have to wait a little, please could you let me know when an APK is available, or create a new release so I get an email? Thanks for the help. πŸ˜€
