I wish it released soon I've a big project should start by the end of March, I really love to use Adonis for it, but final release with queues is mandatory. Also thanks from the heart for supporting TypeScript, that was the only reason may block me from using this great framework. Best wishes

I think everyone's pretty confused about the release timeline here. The fact that it's in preview mode doesn't inspire enough confidence for me to start porting my projects over yet. We're all rooting for Adonis because even in 2021 it's still such a pleasure to build with Adonis 4.x which has been out for years. It's stood the test of time, so very much excited for 5.x.

I agree with @benknight, I want use adonis 5 at my company, but can't convince people here because of this preview state

Is Adonis dead ? Ver 5 still in preview state, so it seems to be a little abandoned ?

I'm using AdonisJS V5 in production for 5 months now (end of November 2020) and it's AWESOME. Coming from Laravel.

To consider using Adonis in production, at least for me it really needs caching. This is very basic feature so I'm surprised that it wasn't a feature from beginning. I've checked Trello and there is "support for caching" that was first in Q2 2020, moved later to Q3 2020, Q4 2020 and now it is in "Ideas" so not even a ETA on that. May I ask, is there any problems with developing this feature? Or just there are more important things and it simply was not started yet? BTW great job, I'm very curious of this project and can't wait to test it in action ;)

Adonis 5 seems not ready yet for production. One of the core features is csrf not working properly. Also there are some other small issues. Hope things are fixed soon. will keep working with 4 for now

I work with v4 and I enjoy with it but with v5 I'm little bit unsure is right decision to go with it, like someone say some feature on roadmap goes from Q1 to Q4 and finally to idea (this is really bad practice), progress with documentation is very slow. Also I have problem with upgrade to latest version, let's say from preview-rc-1 to latest, this crash my app in total. On website is hard to find what is latest version and in general some information. Yesterday I try to find something on Adonis forum but forum is now dead, I hope that is just temporary? Adonis is really good framework and I really love it, but development progress is to slow. One thing what I really don't like about Adonis marketing, on few post there is something like "this" framework is bad and Adonis is better, ok maybe this true but this is not good culture between developers.
