option to force sending to international numbers only #810

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. I only use web sms to send international texts
2. Texts send even wthout a +international code
3. This costs me money for undelivered texts.
4. I know it's the fault of my service providor
5. But please can you add an option "don't send texts unless the number starts
with a + (international code)"
Or "warn before sending texts with no international code"

Thank you

well, in fact it's not a problem of your service provider.
it's your fault sending the message to the wrong number.

why not just changing the contacts number of all your contacts to international
format?
it will fix calling wrong numbers when being abroad too.

The issue arises because when I am abroad using a native SIM, I save numbers
usually in a hurry because I'm out and about. Some I don't add a country code
because I might never need to text them when I get home. Of course when I get
home I try to remember to add a country code to all numbers, but sometimes I
forget. This is human error. Software has been correcting human error for life
times. I paid for the ad free version of your products and it would be nice if
you considered this request seriously, since I am probably not the only person
who makes this mistake. After all, I only use web sms to send international
texts, so it's just logical for the software to ask for an international
number.
