Can't choose a sending app #853

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
To reproduce:
1. Install SMSdroid
2. In Behaviour menu:
    Disable 'Autosend'
    Disable 'Show text field'
    Disable 'Activate sender'
3. Exit SMSdroid and relaunch it.
4. Press the 'compose' or 'reply' button in SMSdroid.

Expected output:
Dialog / option to choose the app for sending.

Issue:
SMSdroid launches another instance of SMSdroid. The soft keyboard appears, but
there is no text field. There is no option to choose a sending app.

Version and OS:
SMSdroid v1.6.2
Android 4.4.2 (on LG GPro 2)
Kernel 3.4.0

Note:
If I long press on the reply button, I can choose my sending application, but I
must perform this very time. That won't work for the compose button.

I have been using SMSdroid on my Galaxy S3 for almost 2 years (thanks a lot,
great app!). It worked perfectly, and launched my preferred app to send
messages. I got a new device (LG GPro 2) and now SMSdroid will not allow me to
choose my sending app.

Great job so far, and I hope I can continue to use the app soon.

Sean

looks like it is a problem of your manufacturers android implementation :(
