I use Bibdesk v1.6.7 on MacOS 10.11.6 to manage my citations. When I use the new Bumblebee interface with the integrated web browser I’ve notice a bug related to quotes around strings. For example when I start with an author search everything looks ok. However, as soon as I start typing the first quote symbol changes.
The first double quote gets replaced by a different version: from author:"Foo" to author:”Foo"

FYI: Bryan also filed a bug report with BibDesk
