Update to the original post: This issue is not isolated to just one site and one external review link. Our client has noted this issue is occurring across multiple sites and the same experience is happening where a deleted external review link is showing the homepage's content. The correct user experience would be to show the 404 error page but that is not occurring.
Additionally, the client is interested in knowing if it's possible to set pins (or some other type of restriction) on assets that are linked to / used in an external review link. This is most notable for PDFs and other non-page content that is used on a page in an external review link. Is this functionality possible as part of Advanced Reviews / External Review Links?
Hello,
One of our clients that uses Advanced Reviews for external review links is having an issue where the external review link they've deleted is still resolving / populating. The external review link has been deleted and that normally results in the user getting a 404 error page when going to that link. However, in this instance the user is getting a 404 error in console and then being redirected to the site's homepage.
This is something that has never happened for us before, and appears to be happening only on this one site. We understand it could be something outside of the external review link causing this issue but wanted to submit this issue request to see if there are any similar instances where this has happened before elsewhere or if there are any recommendations we could try to help get this external review link from appearing?
Also, is there anyway for us to go back and review deleted external review links? Or is there a way to reactivate / retrieve a previously deleted external review link?
If you need the URL we are experiencing this issue on please reach out via email (robert.bondy@optimizely.com) as I don't want to provide that link within this forum.
Please get back to me with your thoughts / response as soon as you can. Thank you!
Robert
