Hi @cdbieling,
What is 'url' of your site?
Please visit: YOURURL/wp-admin/themes.php?theme=alps-wordpress-v3
This is what I see:
Please send screenshot of what you see.
Are you able to update from here?
Can you please try updating to this theme?
@YauheniKapliarchuk
What is 'url' of your site?
Please visit: adventgemeinde-lahr.de
This is what I see:
Are you able to update from here? I updated the theme manually from the repository, so now on the screenshot, it is the current theme. But to tell you of the behavior on this site, after returning to the site a second time, the updating option disappeared also on this themes-site.
Hi @cdbieling Could you please check your theme again, because we made some release 3 days ago?
You see here the same behavior like the initial post. After updating all other plugins except theme, the update-sign from theme 3.15.2.5 to 3.15.2.6 disappears.
i will update now to 3.15.2.6.
@cdbieling could you please give me small access to your site? Because I installed same version of ALPS and everything were updated automatically or proposed me to do this manually by clicking on "update" button?
I installed 3.15.2.5 version and in the same received proposal to update.
@cdbieling ^^
Hi @cdbieling again, Could you please check your site now and try to update to the latest theme, click on update button?
Please, let me know about result.
Thanks!
What I can see right now
Main problem, that some plugin every time produce some old cache and update function in theme rewrite.
Have to investigate deeper this issue.
I think, after normal update current theme everything has to gone, and you will receive new version of our theme.
Thank you for your investigation. Want to inform you nevertheless about a strange behavior in the update-core view: /wp-admin/update-core.php
If you browse to theme-setttings: YOURURL/wp-admin/themes.php?theme=alps-wordpress-v3 Here, in this view, the update-reminder remains constant, regardless of browsing (currently i can do no update and test, what happens after plugin updates, but will have a look on them in future.)
and after browsing to the theme-setting, an update-alert appears (for update-core-site). but if you go to the update-core-site: (/wp-admin/update-core.php) the update alert disappears, and wordpress informs you, that your theme is up-to-date.
if you browse back to the theme-setting-site, the update-alert button appears again, as long as you go to the core-update-site. So, at least, the themes.php-update-view is fixed, but there is still some problem.
going to the themes-site, everything seems right:
going then, to the update-core view, no update-option for the theme.
I propose to make update to 3.15.2.6 using current functionality (click on update button), because this is the latest version. I am going to check this problem on your site more.
i updated to latest version, and will look, how it performs in future.
Cool! Please, reopen this issue. I am going to close it for now and continue investigation.
Thanks, Best Regards!
Just reopened.

Version of ALPS for Wordpress v3.15.2.3
Describe the bug I noticed it already several times, but put it aside. NOw I want to inform you about my oddly update-notification behavior. I logged into my wordpress dashboard. Severall updates appeared. I installed all the plugin-updates first. After updating the plugins, the notification update of the new theme update disappears. So, if you do not first update the theme, but afterward, update process in wordpress is not anymore available. I can remember, that this already appeared some time back, when i used a old version of alps v.3 and never got any update info from wordpress, til i searched after the github repository and discovered several new releases.
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior updating alps theme to latest version. Here to 3.15.2.5
