Release Clippings for Thunderbird 7.0 beta 1 #171

To do list for Clippings for Thunderbird 7.0b1:

  1. Update Thunderbird to latest beta release. Then check if the extension permission prompt will appear when requesting clipboard access (clipboardRead) from Clippings Manager - this is broken in recent beta releases of Thunderbird but is functioning in Thunderbird 115 (part of issue #157).
  2. Consistent nomenclature for numeric placeholders (issue #156)
  3. Improve Sync Clippings error message when unable to obtain sync folder location (issue #151)
  4. Get rid of example path to sync folder in the Sync Clippings settings dialog (part of issue #166)
  5. Update the What's New page.
  6. Test upgrade from version 6.3
  7. Release Sync Clippings Helper 2.0 beta 1.

Write a blog post announcing that Clippings for Thunderbird 7 is coming. List the top three new features/improvements that are coming, and inform users that they can no longer migrate their clippings from Clippings for Thunderbird 5.7 or older.

This regression issue must be fixed before releasing 7.0b1.

Issue #175 needs to be fixed for 7.0b1, as testers will most likely be running into it.

More scope creep. Issue #176 needs to be implemented since it is Linux-specific, and it needs to be tested on that platform ASAP.

Upgrade test from version 6.3 should be performed once 7.0 beta 1 is released.
