Sidebar suddenly opens when updating to new version #35

This issue was observed when Read Next was updated from version 0.8.2 to 0.8.3. The sidebar was not open at the time, and when the automatic update happened, the Read Next sidebar suddenly opened.

The sidebar should not suddenly open after a version update if it was previously closed.

This issue wasn't observed when my installation of Read Next was updated from 0.8.4 to 0.9. Read Next silently updated itself, and the sidebar did not appear by surprise. I am using Firefox 105.0.3 on macOS 10.15.7 Catalina, and Add-ons Manager is set to update extensions automatically.
