In extension preferences page, reauthorization message isn't dismissed when Dropbox reauthorized #65

Read Next 1.0rc2 on Firefox 91.13.0 ESR

Steps to repro:

  1. Connect to Dropbox
  2. Log in to Dropbox, go to account settings and remove Read Next from the list of authorized apps
  3. Return to Firefox. Open extension preferences page, observe the "Disconnected" error message
  4. Click Reconnect and follow the prompts to reauthorize Read Next with Dropbox

Actual result: The reauthorization prompt in the extension preferences page doesn't go away

Expected result: The reauthorization prompt should disappear when reauthorization succeeds

This issue was observed in my Windows 7 VM - not reproducible on my primary machine (iMac running macOS) or the Windows 10 VM.

Keeping this issue open just in case.

This issue was observed in the Windows 10 on Firefox 108. It seems to be sporadic, and it is as if the "sync-reading-list" extension message is either not being sent from reauthorize.html, or it is not received by the extension preferences page. I've also observed that the sidebar isn't updated either (the reauthz message bar isn't dismissed).
