Alexa setup not working #2

Hi! I'm running into issues setting up Alexa with openfocals. Here's what happens:

  1. On the Alexa screen of the openfocals app, tap on gray "Login to Alexa" button
  2. Amazon auth page opens in browser, tap Allow to give permisisons to openfocals
  3. Redirects back to the openfocals app, with the same Alexa login screen as before, as if nothing happened
  4. Eventually a toast message appears saying "Failed to update alexa authorization on focals side"

Any ideas on why this might be happening? (Thanks for building this app, pretty neat to be able to give my Focals a longer life!)

I vaguely recollect seeing this - but am having trouble remembering the fix. Will try this out when I get a chance to see if there's anything obvious + let you know

Can you check what the time shows as on the home screen of the focals before you try to login with alexa? If the time isn't correctly set on the glasses that's one possible cause, which would be a bug in the app

I can replicate this now - I suspect there's some certificate on the device that has expired and no longer works due to this, but I'm still trying to confirm.

I take this back - it seems to go through periods where it fails to authorize then it will start working again randomly and I can't get it to fail anymore. I'm unclear why this is happening.

Can you try connecting to the glasses, trying to authorize, if it fails, then disconnect and reconnect a few times then try again?
